Description:You can sum this shoot up by this string of words: dirty, wet, muddy, wet, muddy, dry, dirty.
Carlin's feet go through so many different conditions in this series that we did as the sun was starting to go down on evening. The setting was under a single lane country bridge out in the middle of nowhere. It was a place I remembered from when I was a kid and was able to find again. The terrain was less than easy to shoot with. The rocks hurt to walk on, the ones under the water were slimey, and then the mud was nice and thick. Yes, Carlin's soles slid all over those slimey rocks and then squished down into that gooey mud. For the photographer, however, I had the hardest time trying to get good angles down below the bridge. That's when we tried our luck on it.
Luckily there was a concrete slab where Carlin could pose. By then her slimey, wet, muddy feet had dried walking through some dirt and the tall grass. They were still dirty though when she bared her soles up on the bridge.
