Soles of Silk - sand castle smash

This week is a week that Aspen has been waiting for since we shot this set on Labor Day 2012. All summer long we had wanted to get to a beach set so she could pose in a bikini. We were rained out a few times on our initial plans, but ended up getting to Seaside Heights right before the school semester started for Aspen.
This day wasn't perfect, however. With our other plans rained out, this day was rainy all morning long during our drive. We didn't care and were going to force the shoot anyhow. Luckily for us, by time we got up to New Jersey, the rain had stopped. It was still windy and very cloudy, but we got out on the beach.
I really liked how many of these photos turned out, although Aspen's hair was just all over the place with the wind coming off the Atlantic Ocean. All in all, there were still some really cute shots with her sandy soles smashing a sand castle. We even tried some stop action shots with her pour both sand and water all over toes.
