As the day was not warm and the asphalt was quite cold, I knew that he couldn't be sure, that I really would take off my shoes. So I enjoyed his expression of extreme impatience and excitement. At least, to mutual pleasure I took off my shoes. People all around payed attention to me and asked wether it wasn't cold to walk in such a way. I only laughed and welcomed them to take off their boots too.
When I saw a baloon in a puddle right near the Red Square, there awoke my naughtiness. I began to football it with my bare feet and to pose my
terribly dirty soles to Him. That evening our way home took 4 hours (instead of 40 minutes) Four hours of barefoot walk! Four hours of
excitent, curious glances of the passers-by and 4 hours of painful and pleasant soles massage, skillfully made by sharp pebble and hard
asphalt...
