Soles of Silk - uss wisconsin

When Jamie and I took a trip last summer to Norfolk, Va., I looked on Google Earth to find some possible shoot locations ahead of time. One of the locations I found, and knew I'd be using, was the USS Wisconsin Battleship. After thinking about it even further, I planned on sitting on this one for months to publish with either Memorial Day or on the Fourth of July. I chose Memorial Day.
In the set, which was shot on a very windy day following a tropical storm, Jamie is wearing an American flag on her shirt and on her flip flops. The setting screamed USA, so why not the model?
Jamie posed on a number of benches on the pier next to the one the USS Wisconsin is docked. I thought about having her pose closer to the ship, but you couldn't see much of it being that close. I wanted to see her, her feet, and those guns on the deck all in the same shot. Mission accomplished!
